The KPSO and Lion's International Clubs have worked together since 1996 to sponsor the KPSO Family Day Back to School Picnic.  Dedicated volunteers from our MKSD staff, parents, friends, grandparents, and Lions Club members from the surrounding area clubs, cook and serve the food.  The many volunteers work at the crafts, games, silent auction, and pony rides that have become a picnic tradition.  

The success of the picnic also depends on those MKSD staff members who work behind the scenes to ensure that the grounds are ready, the bathrooms are clean, and all the equipment such as picnic tables and chairs are available for our use.  Our tribute to the MKSD staff would not be complete if we didn't mention the staff who have retired but return every year to volunteer their time and expertise to the event.
